PB-235-H-PAS PowerBar 235

A soundbar with parts and pieces taken from traditional home theater systems—processor, switcher, amplifier, remote control, speaker drivers, etc.—which are bolted together into a single cabinet and shocked into life with one power cord.  An ideal solution for those with limited space or just those who don't want or cant handle the use of "the pieces", wires etc.

The typical Soundbar has a dual purpose:
a) to provide much-improved sound quality over that produced by the speakers built into modern televisions (such an easy task, by the way, that it could seemingly be accomplished by a couple of tin cans and a string); while at the same time
b) significantly reducing the number of boxes in the system, as well as dramatically simplifying the installation process.

The ultimate failing for most soundbars is that it usually requires a an external sub-woofer in order to sound acceptable to the human ear. This mandatory sub-woofer, by virtue of being a physical object that takes up floor space, is more often than not considered both an eyesore which defeats the purpose most have for soundbars.

PB-235-H-PAS PowerBar 235

Built-In Amplifier for Powerful Virtual Surround Sound
The H-PAS Powerbar 235 is powered by an on-board amplifier that supplies 80 total watts RMS. It also boasts a sophisticated Digital Signal Processing with Dolby Digital® and DTS that delivers 2 channel sound and effectively develops a 3 or 5 channel experience for total listener immersion in the video program. It includes a simple remote control, but can also be used with most universal remotes.

User Switchable Display (USDTM)
In addition to its ground-breaking bass capabilities, the H-PAS PowerBar 235's digital display can be "flipped" to read correctly whether the unit is sitting on a table or inverted on a flat-screen mount. This allows the display to read correctly whether the unit is "right-side up" or "upside down" depending on installation.
H-PAS Bass System
H-PAS (Hybrid Pressure Acceleration System) is a unique, patented bass system that combines the best of four bass technologies: acoustic suspension, inverse horn, bass reflex, and transmission line. By cascading the four technologies onto one another in a precise, mathematically-determined formula, H-PAS achieves extremely deep bass response from small woofers in a compact enclosure, with no requirement for a high-powered amplifier. No subwoofer needed.

Basically this technology has improved my opinion of soundbars for home theaters.  Generally the failure to power them and include some sort of integrated subwoofer software have made them not even an option for an audiophile like myself but............

It is a perfect standalone solution that represents a quantum leap in both acoustic technology and user convenience! Perfect for an easy home theater in a master bedroom or any room that you want dominated by additional speakers.

This product will ensure you keep things "Prim and Proper".
