The D-Link PowerLine AV Network Starter Kit

Over the years I'm sure several of you have aquired vast libraries of media (video/audio) that you would like to play wirelessly anywhere in your home.  I know I have.  Unfortunately, much of the current available hardware won't allow you to do this cheap. There are several companies who claim their products can stream 1080p video and 720p video but they can't.  With that being said I just said screw it and just took the storage drive with the video on it and moved it to the tv I wanted to play it at.  Not only does this create a risk of damaging the storage hardware constantly moving it around but
it's a pain in the A$$.

Thankfully and hopefully I can save anyone out there the time and hassle I've endured with a simple, solid solution.

After testing several brands, and after a couple weeks of purchasing and returning different models........I've narrowed down a couple brands that will do what we need.  Stream HD Media without drilling holes and running ethernet cables through the walls and floors of your home.

D-Link PowerLine AV Network Starter Kit

This solution allows you to use the existing powerlines in your walls to run an ethernet signal to your pc, laptop, media player, or whatever you want that accepts an ethernet cable input.  Since using it, I eliminated wireless internet or networking from my home and increased the transmission speeds by 10+.  This product is simple and it really is invaluable.  You pretty much plug it in and enjoy an as good as wired connection.

manufacturer description is below:
The D-Link PowerLine AV Network Starter Kit (DHP-307AV) allows you to create or expand your home network using your existing electrical wiring**. Just for your information.
There are several wireless usb network cards that claim they can provide HD Streaming abilities to any computer wirelessly.  They are lying.  While the speeds show 200+mb/s on your connection, the throughput sucks.  I've tried several of these products as well.  In other words, don't be fooled and don't waste your money.

Ethernet over Power is one of the most valuable technologies I'm glad to use today and I highly recommend you to give it a try if you need HD Streaming transmission speeds.

Seeing as the starter kit only comes with two receivers, if you choose to add this to more systems or require more connectivity you can purchase additional receivers separately.
