Mortal Kombat Legacy Blu-Ray Release Coming Soon

Yes I know, the entire series has been released online in fake 1080p for everyone to see. (You can view the entire series here) true fans might still be interested in spending a few bucks on the goodies-filled Blu-ray edition scheduled to pummel shelves on November 8th.

The Blu-ray will sell for US$19.98 msp (appears cheaper below though) and include all nine-episodes of the cult web series which began airing online on April 12th. It will also feature a half hour of behind-the-scenes interviews and clips, as well as bonus videos profiling the show's various characters, weapons, moves and abilities. Last but not least (or maybe least depending on your interest in guys talking about filming stuff), viewers will have the chance to learn more about the series' director, Kevin Tancharoen, whose Mortal Kombat: Rebirth fan film, was the inspiration for the entire live-action project.
Mortal Kombat: Legacy is an anthology series that takes place before the very first game, and shows how each of the main characters came to the storyline.

While a lot of people out there will say why pay for it? I can watch it for free.... Well, chances are that sales on a release like this will determine if this has a future.  If it does well, of course someone will invest in creating a full blown movie.  If it doesn't well, its still better than those crap movies Mortal Kombat has released previously.  Not only that but the DTS surround sound and 1080p experience?

So for all you Fans out there, there:
Release date: is November 8, 2011
Format: Dolby, DTS Surround Sound, Subtitled, Widescreen
Length: 100 minutes

Here's the initial trailer that started it all.......

If you noticed, its $6.00 cheaper as a pre-order.  MSRP is $19.99usd
