X-Men First Class

My previous opinion on this movie may have been a little .....much.  I think my evaluation in February was and I quote, "this movie should have been named 'First piece of $hiT'.  After viewing the trailer I do have to retract that presumptuous statement.  I still can't say it looks awesome but it doesn't look that bad.  With a $120 million dollar budget, maybe they'll make the sub-woofers shake the room.  I don't doubt that as with a lot of sci-fi these days it will be impressive on the home theater.  It was just released.

RELEASED June 3, 2011
The story is in fact a prequel that centers on the teenage years of the first team of X-Men to come out of the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning.

The film, following the classic Marvel mythology, charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
