Dream Theaters Galore Part 1

Here's some amazing work done in Home Theater Designs.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

This theater was created with the classic science fiction tale of "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" in mind. From the fixtures to the materials and details, every bit of this room is the plush interior described in the book with the functional metal-riveted surroundings one would expect deep beneath the ocean.

Suprisingly enough the exterior are relatively simple materials – foam and wood and other shaped products that made the entire project affordable up front but realistic at the end.

STAR TREK Home Theater Room

For all the Trek geeks out there......The Star Trek Home Theater Room cost around 3 million dollars to produce.  It has won on many top Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) design awards and was designed by Electronic Systems Consultants.

The theater represents one of the most distinctive, technically and structurally advanced private theaters in the United States. The client insisted upon a unique and specific set of criteria including extremely high volume levels within a tasteful and highly-detailed Star Trek-themed architecture. Other technical assemblies unique to residential environments include motorized sliding doors, intelligent concert-type lighting and related DMX512 controls, and commercial-level HVAC, all coexisting seamlessly and reliably for a typical homeowner.

Here's some more pics to show you how crazy some people are about home theater.

This theater is very impressive if you ask me at a completed at a cost of only $70,000. Featuring "a 10 foot diagonal circuit screen (that shows a 96-inch diagonal image), Atlantic's THX series speakers, a couple of Polk Audio IW155 in-wall subwoofers and a JVC RS-1 D-ILA light amplifier for HD imagery." In my time looking at home theater technology I think this is one of the best systems I've seen at such a low price the guy who developed this knew how to get value for his money.
